Is membership on an individual or a company basis?
Individuals comprise our
primary membership base. If you are interested, please contact LPNmemchair@lifeplanningnetwork.org.
Why do you meet?
The primary focus of the meetings is to share information,
expertise and resources to enhance our practices and advance our emerging field.
Our meetings are a great opportunity to meet and network with others in the holistic second-half-of-life planning community.
To this end, we allow time both before and during the in-person meetings for networking and for the distribution of literature.
Who is eligible to attend the meetings?
Because of our integrative or holistic model of life planning, we specifically seek members from diverse professional fields, life domains, and practice settings, for example, coaching, psychology/social work, financial/legal, lifelong learning, health and fitness, work (paid and volunteer), housing, spirituality, leisure and travel, solo and group practices, as well as for-profit and not for profit organizations.
Any professional assisting clients in the second half of life, in a paid or unpaid capacity, is welcome to attend
up to two meetings before becoming a member. Meetings may be local or national, live, teleconference, or webinars.
Where do you meet?
We meet both in person and virtually. National LPN
members meet quarterly via webinar. Local chapters and emerging chapters hold in-person,
teleconference and webinar meetings. You can check our comprehensive LPN Master Calendar.
In-person and virtual Special Interest Groups (SIGs), retreats, national conferences, and special programs provide additional opportunities to meet.
Do you have speakers at the meeting and what type of topics do you cover?
We have guest speakers or panels nearly every quarter.
However, we also take advantage of the considerable expertise within our membership and we allow
time in our programs for member participation and practical application.
See our LPN Master Calendarfor specific details.
How can I get more involved in LPN beyond membership?
Reflecting our values of engagement and community building, LPN - the national organization and the local chapters - encourage our members' active involvement, ranging from committee membership, Board membership, SIGs and special event planning.
See the Contact page for more information and email the appropriate person for your location.
Or mention your interest to any LPN member at an in-person meeting.
