Emotional and Spiritual Wellbeing

During the Third Age transition, some are called to a journey more spiritual in nature. They may seek answers to the calling through a return to their church, temple or mosque. They may explore meditation, yoga, drumming or marshal arts. Their reading choices may help them contemplate larger questions surrounding the meaning of life or they may find a new religious or spiritual community. The possibilities are infinite.

Ask yourself these questions:

  • What am I doing to nurture my spirit?
  • How am I caring for my emotional health?
  • How will I develop a more balanced lifestyle?
  • What inspires me? How can I bring those things into my life?
  • Would I enjoy spending more time close to nature?
  • Would I like to participate in a spiritual community?
  • Have I considered a self-help group or personal growth program or retreat?
  • Have I set aside time for contemplation or journal-writing?
  • Would a daily spiritual practice feed my soul?
