Physical Health, Fitness and Nutrition

The Third Age often brings on a heightened awareness of our changing bodies. With the gift of time, we have the opportunity to attend to our physical well-being.

Ask yourself these questions:

  • What am I doing to take care of my body?
  • Do I exercise regularly?
  • What do I need/want to do to increase my strength, flexibility and physical capacity?
  • What do I need/want to do to improve my cardiovascular fitness?
  • Do I want to take up a sport, dance, yoga or a similar activity?
  • How can I make healthier choices with what I eat?
  • Am I getting regular preventative medical care?
  • Do I need treatment for sleep disturbance, memory issues, physical symptoms, and/or substance abuse?
  • Have I set aside time for relaxation?
  • Have I considered body work or massage?
